Is it really free?
Yes. The editor and all tools are free to use with no limit on the number of files.
Where do my files go?
Nowhere. Each file is opened and processed in the browser on your device. It reaches a server only if you click “Save to cloud”.
Do I need to install anything?
No. A recent version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge is all you need.
Are there size limits?
One file can be up to 100 MB and 1,000 pages — plenty for large scans. On an older phone the work simply takes a bit longer.
Does it work offline?
The page has to load first; after that the processing runs on your device. Saving to the cloud needs a connection.
Does it handle documents in other languages?
Yes. Documents in any language open and display correctly, and text in Latin, Cyrillic and Greek scripts can be edited and typed into form fields.
Can I sign a PDF with a digital certificate?
Yes. Add a drawn signature, or sign the file with a certificate from a PKCS#12 file (.p12 or .pfx). The signature can be verified in any PDF reader.
What's the difference between the editor and the tools?
A tool does one thing in one step. The editor lets you make several changes, undo what you don't need and save the document to Zotu cloud.
